Level A1 (beginner)
It’s Saturday morning at the market, and the stallholder is ready to serve you. Your shopping list is short, but French has its own little words for talking about food and quantities, and they catch out almost every English speaker. You’ll practise partitive articles, live, at a real market stall. Listen carefully, choose your words, and see if you can fill your basket without a mix-up.
Talk with real French people
No fill-in-the-blanks here. Each interactive scene drops you into a real moment of everyday life in France, as if you were there: a French person speaks to you, in their own voice and at their own pace, and you decide what to say back.
Every answer counts. Find the right words and the conversation moves on. Get them wrong and they react, just like a real person would. Then you find out why, and you can try again.
- Real voices, recorded by a native French teacher
- Natural spoken French, the way people really talk
- Several endings: can you find them all?
